It’s 16 July 2007. Do you know where your Vegetarian Blog Carnival is? Welcome, I’m Mitchell, your host and now on to the Veggie Blog goodness.

Need more reasons to convince your friends and family to go vegan, or at least eat less meat? Cody McKibben passed along Veganism and Sustainability, Part I. Be sure to check back with her for Part II.

As a diabetic, I’m very interested in the Glycemic Index of foods and there’s starting to be some mainstream attention on the subject as well. With that in mind, FitBuff put together FitBuff.com’s Total Mind and Body Fitness Blog: What Is Glycemic Index?. It explains GI and how you can find out how your food stacks up.

Shane Magee put together Vegetarianism and the inner life. If you’re looking for inner peace, and who isn’t, check it out!.

And in the I Never Thought We’d Have A Submission From Them category, Ant from the The Beef Jerky Blog sent us Jerky for the Vegetarian.

I’d like try a raw food diet sometime and if you’re interested in one as well, follow along with Andrew Michaels as he goes Raw For 30 Days: Day #1. Too much fruit for me, after all, I’m a vegetarian.

L.Hunter sent us 7 reasons why your cat cannot be vegetarian. My parrots wanted to know if a cat could at least try?

Wondering where your next protein is coming from? L.Hunter hooks us up with Top 15 sources of protein for vegans and vegetarians.

All hail our beautiful, intelligent founder, Jul who has deigned to present us with Going green(s). I, for one, love my greens! (Can I host again, please!?)

Could going vegan save you trouble with the IRS? FitBuff lays out one possible way that could happen. How Much Are You Willing to Pay for Twinkies?.

It’s a twofer! Driving tips and a recipe from GP who gives us The Green Light on Traveling.

It may not be vegan but if you swing that way, be sure to check out Annette Berlin and her Powerhouse Sandwich.

This one is vegan and I’m checking out my pantry. Annette Berlin tells us about her Easy, Easy Vegetarian Chili. Easy is always good.

To wash down all that food, we’ll need something to drink. Fortunately, we’ve got you covered.

Sepehr Moghadam asks us to Try a Healthy Smoothie for Breakfast by Minus The Fat.

And Linda Martin tells us about her Spicy Lemonade.

And to top things off, we’ve got a couple of toppings. Hee hee, I kill me.

Andrea N. Giancoli sends us her Recipe of the Week: Stone Salsa.

And for one I can’t even pronounce, let’s turn to Jussi who presents his Sambal Toeoeloe - Chili Sauce. Sounds good, if I just knew what a Dutch red pepper was …

That concludes this edition. Submit your blog article to the next edition of
Vegetarian Blog Carnival using our handy, dandy carnival submission form.

No animals were harmed in the making of this carnival, however, a few electrons were momentarily inconvenienced.
